About This Project

Project “Gym” Consisted of an existing system, with twenty-four – 400 Watt metal halide enclosed highbays. The system had a connected load of 11,016 Watts and produced an average of 35 foot-candles on the floor. The replacement system utilized an Accendo HBT5 series luminaire lamped with 4 – 47Watt T5HO lamps. The new system has a connected load of 4,824 Watts which represents a 56% savings. In addition the new system maintains 50 foot-candles on the floor per the owner’s specifications. This system provides a much improved quality of light while doubling the lamp and ballast life’s of the existing system.
